Life is too hard

“Life is too hard to maintain a constantly serious outlook. You have to laugh at yourself and the world now and then―see humor in undesirable circumstances, even harsh situations―or you will either rot from the inside or go stark-raving mad. Humor is power against the worst oppression. It lightens heavy burdens; it allows one to smile while in agony; it eases excruciating pains. In short, humor makes the intolerable tolerable.”

dont worry be happy…..life…scars… and other random cheery thoughts

No matter what kind of day I’m having, I always have a smile for everyone. I try to see the good in each and every person I come across. I give a kind word to people that I don’t know on a regular basis. Every time I see a baby, I think, what a blessing. I am intelligent. Once I set my mind on doing something, there is no holding me back. If I don’t know how to do something, I will not stop until I figure it out. I have a way with children. They are at ease when they’re around me. There is nothing more beautiful than hearing a child laugh. When I worked near a I would stop by at lunch time..and  I made it a point every day to get those babies to laugh as many times as humanly possible. I will always treasure those precious moments with them.
Though I am not always happy, I try to look at the positive things each and every day. Take time to look at the beauty that’s around us every day. You need to keep your eyes open. When you give another a kind word, you cannot know what that might mean to them. We’ve all been through tough times and you never know the things that one may be hiding. You could be their lifeline. So if you’re worried about someone, talk to them. Don’t let it go. If you love someone, tell them. We never know what tomorrow brings. See the beauty in each and every person. Don’t let the darkness consume you. Regardless of the difficulties you face, you have to try to find your way back to the light.
Do not tell yourself you’re ugly. Don’t tell yourself you’re not worth it. Be aware how your past affects your understanding of who you are. You can change. You can break old habits. Don’t ever let someone else tell you that you’re any less than who you are!! It’s hard not to listen to other’s opinions of us. Something is told to us and we play it over and over in our mind, like a broken record. We tell ourselves we ignored what was said, but the truth is it scars us.
The scars are there every day, a part of us. We know the truth about who we are, but we see the scars and they tell us different. They tell us we aren’t worth it. They say we’re something less than beautiful. They tell us we’re damaged.
We’ll never be worth someone loving us. It is hard to change this. It is a constant fight. You have to evaluate who you are and what you do, and realize you are beautiful and no one can ever take that away from you

she saw all struggles

“she saw that all the struggles of life were incessant, laborious, painful, that nothing was done quickly, without labor, that it had to undergo a thousand fondlings, revisings, moldings, addings, removings, graftings, tearings, correctings, smoothings, rebuildings, reconsiderings, nailings, tackings, chippings, hammerings, hoistings, connectings — all the poor fumbling uncertain incompletions of human endeavor. They went on forever and were forever incomplete, far from perfect, refined, or smooth, full of terrible memories of failure and fears of failure, yet, in the way of things, somehow noble, complete, and shining in the end.”
Jack Kerouac
